2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4-RS

  • Completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:09.300 minutes

  • Best performing and most powerful 718 Cayman built to date

  • Rear wing derived from the Le Mans winning RSR GT-race car

The 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS (equipped with the optional Weissach package) here on display in Artic Grey is the most powerful Cayman built to date, with its engine deriving from the GT3 RS (Porsches track built model). Noted as “Perfectly irrational” by Porsche in its marketing, the GT4 RS is just that. With its relocated interior airbox and carbon fiber/aluminum design, it is a true track race car made for the open road.

The GT4 RS is designed with a focus on giving the driver the highest level of steering precision, emphasized by the yellow center mark on the steering wheel, black paddle shifters with yellow accents, and computer assisted suspension and brakes. Another primary design focus of the GT4 RS is its lightweight construction - with full bucket CFRP made seats, carbon fiber door trims, braided door loops derived from motorsports, CFPR front lid with air intakes for cooling the braking system

The Weissach package raises the bar for the GT4 RS from a beast on the road and takes it even further. When selected, the carbon fiber makes up the front luggage compartment lid, process air intakes, cooling air intakes, air box lid, exterior mirrors caps and the rear wing. Exhaust tips made of titanium are inspired by the exhaust of the Porsche 935/19. Forged magnesium 20” wheels are also available with the Weissach package for an additional cost. These additions help to reduce weight and improve stability when driving the GT4 RS at high speeds.

The Rennsport (RS) package is known for its race ability throughout Porsche’s history. The GT4 RS is no different, allowing the race made engine to rev higher and faster while weighting 49 lbs less than the GT4 aided the GT4 RS in completing the Nürburgring in 7:09.3 minutes, 23.6 seconds faster than the GT4 showing its upgraded track performance.

To support the power and speed the race derived engine puts out, the GT4 RS is equipped with a new Aluminum monobloc fixed-caliper brake system, allowing it to comfortably stop at even the highest speeds. With the new braking system, the GT4 RS omits rear passenger windows for newly designed air intakes feeding into the engine to help with cooling and downforce.

Fitted with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management (PASM), Stability Management (PSM), Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB), and Torque Vectoring (PTV) the GT4 RS is technically and mechanically built for the most optimal times on the racetrack. This is evidenced by its 2:17.84 lap time at Road America.
