The Customizations

This classic “Handyman” was found in a state of complete disrepair in 2004. Rojas started by performing a complete frame-off sanding and painting. He continued by replacing the engine with a 350 cu. in. V8 from a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette. On the interior, Rojas finished the bench seats in genuine Ferrari leather and Mercedes-Benz carpeting. He added a digital gauge cluster to the console, and billet aluminum steering wheel. Last, Rojas equipped the trunk with custom-made Visonik speakers.

Did you know?

The paint on this car is actually Ferrari Russo (red) straight from the factory.

Each speaker puts out approximately 750 watts of sound, for a total of nearly 1500 watts. In comparison, most modern-day cars put out an average of between 200 and 400 watts.

This car is somewhat of a hodgepodge of different makers and parts. He used brakes from a Chevy Nova, a transmission from another 1987 Corvette, power seats from a 1969 Pontiac Catalina, and windows from a 1969 Cadillac Eldorado, among others!
