A Little History

Rolls-Royce acquired Bentley Motors from Walter Owen Bentley in 1931, afterwards struggling for years to design and build a car that they felt would honor Bentley’s determination to create a car possessing the perfect balance of performance, reliability, and style.

At the time, the 4-1/4 liter, “silent sports car,” the product of the best minds from Rolls-Royce and Bentley, represented the height of W.O. Bentley’s pursuits.
