Join us for a conversation about the British cars featured in British at its Best. Audrain docents Chuck Gilchrest, Kevin Kavanaugh, and Richard Hunter will share their different perspectives on British motoring, from design and engineering to driving, restoration, collecting, and the stories that make these cars memorable.
Moderated by Audrain Executive Director David de Muzio, the discussion will highlight cars throughout the exhibit and conclude with an audience Q&A.
Kevin Kavanaugh has been part of the Audrain Automobile Museum for more than five years, where he is a regular docent and serves as a host during the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week. A British car enthusiast and MG owner, Kevin brings his firsthand experience with British motoring and years of sharing automotive history with museum visitors to the panel.
Chuck Gilchrest acquired his first British Car, a Triumph Spitfire, a decade ago. He joined British Motorcars of New England and soon after, volunteered time as a docent and curation team member at Audrain. Chuck, owing to his motorcycle racing and restoration background, is a concours judge at Audrain Newport Concours, Radnor Hunt Concours, and the Quail MotoFest in California. He is a regular contributor to Linkage Magazine.
