Stars of 30 Audrain Exhibitions

After nearly a decade of thematic exhibits displaying vehicles from all eras and all corners of the world, we are thrilled to bring back many fan favorites for our first 30 exhibitions at the Audrain! From one the earliest and most iconic car’s in Newport history, Willie K’s 1907 Renault Vanderbilt racer first seen in  21st exhibition Women Take the Wheel: Fashion, Modernity and the Automobile 1905 – 1945, through the Museum’s logo car, the 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C, to the Schumacher/ Irvine’s incredible V-10 1997 Ferrari 310B Formula-1 race car first seen in the 2nd exhibition Supercar Evolution.

Also making an encore appearance from 15th exhibition Styling the Future: A History of GM Design & Concept Cars will be Harley Earl’s 1938 Buick Y-Job concept car from GM’s Heritage Collections. And, first seen in the 5th exhibition Speed Machines: Supercars, & Superbikes the Audrain’s 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse “LE CIEL CALIFORNIEN”. Several motorcycles have made the cut, including the 1953 Vincent Black Shadow from the 20th exhibition Balance & Power: The World on Two Wheels, 1885-1995.

The Audrain Collections number over 400 cars & trucks, and 110 motorcycles, of which over 350 have been seen in the Museum’s gallery along with over 60 loans from our Audrain members, fellow collectors, and other automobile museums. Help us celebrate some of the stars from 30 exhibitions as we look forward to continuing our mission “Preserving, Celebrating & Sharing Automotive History”.
