Dr. Doreen L. Wiggins

MD, MHL, FACOG, FACS, DipABLM, ABOIM

Topic: “The Luxury of Health & Wellness: Empowering Women to Live Their Best Life”

Dr. Doreen Wiggins, MD, MHL, FACOG, FACS, DipABLM, ABOIM is a surgical oncologist at Brown Surgical Associates, Inc. She is also an Associate Professor of Surgery Clinician Educator at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She pursued further medical training and completed a Surgical Oncology Breast Disease fellowship, as well as an intensive course in cancer risk assessment at the City of Hope in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Fellowship of Integrative Medicine 2024, chosen as the class graduation speaker.

In addition, Dr. Wiggins earned a master’s degree in healthcare leadership from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

She is the founder of the Center for Obstetrics & Gynecology in Providence. Her areas of expertise are breast cancer surgery, integrative and lifestyle medicine, female cancer genetics, female sexuality and cancer survivorship.

Dr. Wiggins is a yoga teacher and is a course director for Yoga Medicine. She has taught at international yoga retreats. Dr. Wiggins was chosen the be the faculty advisor for the Warren Alpert Medical School students for academic year 2025-2026.

Her practice is integrative, where she applies many of her clinical skills and experience in the healing arts to help her patients to go beyond surviving, and to thrive.
